and this doesn't disappoint. I kept my old speaker system in place and just swapped out the receiver. The HDMI component connections are great for all the components that make up my visual media set up (HD Cable, Chromecast, BDVD, etc.). I do have one complaint though but it's a fairly small one. The receiver is located in my family room and I opted for this model as I needed the Zone 2 to connect to a speaker selector that allows me to direct music to speakers in my living room, office and outdoor patio. When you plug in an iPod using the USB port, the on-screen menu using the TV is only available for the Main amplifier not the Zone 2 amplifier. So, if I want music only in my living room and patio, I have to do my music selection using the menu on the TV with both the Main and Zone 2 amplifer turned on, and then turn off the Main amplifier. In addition, when an iPod is connected using the USB port, you cannot control the music selection from the iPod directly either. OF course I could connect using RCA cables on the back but, as I said, this is a minor complaint. I will be networking this receiver when I get around to running the cat 5 cable to the family room which may make my modest complaint disappear and will allow me to use the iPad app to also control the receiver.
