Yamaha RX-V377 5.1-Channel A/V Home Theater Receiver

I have had this now for a few months and have tweaked the sound and settings quite a bit. It has a very clear sound and a nice set of effects. In the end, I used the non-effect 'straight' mode more than anything else but they are there to play with and with certain set ups and room I can see the advantage. You almost need a rep from their company to come in and teach a class about all the different things it can do. The self set up option for speaker settings is a good starting point. I had to tweak them a little more but I have a very good ear for small nuances in sound so I'm extra picky. Having said that, for the price this offers a very good sound on my 5 channel system.
