Yamaha Natural Sound Stereo Receiver (R-S201BL)

Been using for about a month now with no issues. I considered a home theatre system but decided against that option because I wanted to hook up my TV, my turntable and iPod to it. Reason I chose a receiver over a home theatre system was that I did not want all of the speakers around the room (two is plenty) and i could not find a home theatre system that allowed me to play records on my turntable without adding a preamp. This receiver can handle a turntable without a preamp. I also like the ability to adjust bass and treble, which is difficult to do with a home theatre system. There is a variable loudness control as well, which works OK. This receiver can also handle a subwoofer, but the sound reproduction has been more than adequate from my Polk Audio RTI A1 bookshelf speakers, so I have not added one yet. Other reviewers have said that it is difficult to get a subwoofer balanced with the other speakers with this receiver.
