Marantz SR7008 9.2-Channel 1080P and 4K Ultra HD Pass Through, Networking Home Theater Receiver with AirPlay (Black)

I was waiting for a receiver of this quality on this price point for a long time. Marantz did a fantastic job this time adding XT32 and SubEQ HT in this AVR. My system never sounded this good. Bass response is flat in the all listening area and my speakers are very well balanced. I was between this and the Denon AVR-X4000, but I decided towards the SR7008 because its look and the 7.1 ch analog input. Next week I'm gonna run Audyssey again after add a second Rythmik Audio F12SE subwoofer into my system. But like I mentioned before with just one F12SE the bass is flat all around my living room. 100% recommended. It's worthy of every $$$$ I paid for it!!! - Customer Reviews

Sony STR-DH540 5.2 Channel 4K AV Receiver 725 Watt Receiver (Black) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

This receiver really packs a punch while being full of features. I did lots of researching for a low budget AV system and this DH540 was found highly recommended by several sources. It was a great replacement for my Samsung theater in a box and let me use all 5 of my surround speakers. I really enjoy using it for movies and gaming while it does great with music too. All of my devices are now able to be hooked up with HDMI and i got rid of my multiple input box. I purchased this receiver along with the Polk Audio PSW-10 subwoofer and it sounds like an entirely different entertainment system, all of my media comes to life clearly and powerfully. And one of the greatest features of all is the .2 meaning that two subwoofers can be connected with separate outputs. Once i get tired of the 10 and find a need for deeper bass notes, I now have the ability to wire up a 12 right across from it.
